The Story
Greek mythology, retold with a wink. Hercules grits his teeth through twelve impossible Labors. Ulysses just wants to get home, if only Poseidon would let him. And Achilles, the deadliest warrior of Greece, has hung up his spear to coach the Olympic team. Three legends, three adventures, each one small enough to fit in your pocket.
Game Mechanics
These are not re-skins of the same game. Each hero gets his own system, built around his myth.
- Hercules — roguelike deckbuilding. Upgrade cards by turning them 180°, beat each Labor and keep it as a Blessing for the fights ahead.
- Ulysses — drafting and poker hands. Beat Poseidon every hand, but never by too much, or his wrath sinks you.
- Achilles — your whole deck in your hand. Train athletes and control the exact order in which they come back.
All three are built for solo play and let you save between rounds, so a game can last one coffee or a whole week of evenings. Each also plays with two: Ulysses as a co-op, Achilles as a duel against Hector. For two-player Hercules, you need two copies of that game.
What Makes It Special
The Micro Hero series packs a surprising amount of game into 55 cards. Every box comes from the same team: designer Léandre Proust and illustrator Rémi Leblond, whose cheeky art turns ancient heroes into lovable rascals. The games are built to be collected. Ulysses carries a bonus card for Hercules, Achilles one for Ulysses, and the illustrations hide easter eggs that only make sense once all three sit side by side.
