Luthier is a strategic board game for 1–4 players set in the Baroque era, where players portray instrument makers (luthiers). Each player manages a workshop, improving it by hiring apprentices, expanding their team, and crafting various instruments like violins and pianos.

Mechanically, the game blends worker placement with hidden auction dynamics. Players send their workers to different locations on the game board to acquire essential materials (wood, strings) or secure commissions from patrons. Each patron has specific requirements and offers unique rewards.

A standout feature of the game is crafting rare instruments for famous musicians, earning bonus points and special abilities. Players must also carefully manage resources and strategically invest in their workshop and apprentices to improve efficiency.

The goal is to earn the most prestige points by crafting instruments and fulfilling commissions. Luthier is perfect for players who enjoy complex strategic challenges and historical themes.
