The Story
The Aegean, in an age when the gods still watched from above. You are a seafaring builder moving between the sacred islands of a Greek archipelago, and the only currency that matters is stone. Found a monument on an untouched island, or add another floor to one already standing, and the Olympians take notice. Dedicate a tower in a god's name and their favour is yours — and that favour bends the rules in your hands.
Game Mechanics
A turn takes seconds to explain: Move, Build, Draw. Everything comes out of the same pool of stones.
- Move — return stones from your hand to your bag to sail your ship along the sea routes. Distance costs stones.
- Build — found a new tower in the region where your ship sits, or raise one that already stands there.
- Dedicate — top a tower with a God stone to unlock that deity's power, from repositioning to interfering with your rivals.
- Draw — refill your hand from the bag. As the bag empties, the end of the game closes in.
Every stone spent on sailing is a floor you did not build. At the end, each region is scored: the tallest tower claims the region tile, and in three- and four-player games the runner-up still walks away with a medal. Most points wins.
What Makes It Special
The towers are physical. You stack real stones into three-dimensional monuments, so the whole board is readable from across the table — you can see at a glance which islands you are winning, which you have already lost, and where the next fight is coming. Twelve god powers exist, but only a subset comes out in any given game, and the archipelago is laid out differently every time. A 45-minute game by Trevor Benjamin, Brett J. Gilbert and David Thompson — the designers behind Undaunted, War Chest and Mandala — published by Mighty Boards, with art by Katarzyna Bekus and Max Kosek.
